Parth Bharat Thakkar on 'Vaarso': I believe Gujarati music is rich and needs a push- Exclusive!
Parth Bharat Thakkar, is making headlines for his music ventures. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the music director who has now composed a new musical piece titled 'Vaarso' opened up about the song and its making.Psrth shared, " 'Vaarso' is a beautiful idea by Priya Saraiya who thought of collaborating with a set of Gujarati artists to perform our evergreen musical folk/traditional assets along with a few originals. There are a total of 6 songs in Season 1 and I am happy to be a part of two songs out of which one is released and getting tremendous response. The song is called 'Rang Morla' in which I have done additional composition and arrangements too. The song is sung by Aditya Gadhvi and Priya Saraiya. The second one is a wedding song called 'Vanra Te Van Ma' which is sung by Sangeeta Labadiya. Also, I have tried to bring some contemporariness to it retaining the traditional charm of the music."Furthermore, he added, "I have recreated a few songs like 'Bhada Na Makaan', in the film 'Ventilator'. I have also created 'Kaljug No Kanhaiyo' after getting inspired by the 'Sapakaru' form sung by the Charan community."
"I believe Gujarati music is rich and needs a push and this is a great step by Priya. As a composer, I have experienced how listeners love listening to our music but I also want them to listen to our traditional/folk music which is beautiful. I am sure this effort is going to work, Parth ended the conversation happily," Parth concluded.
