'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' China box office: Salman Khan’s film off to an impressive start

Almost three years after its Bollywood release, the Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was released in theatres across China. The film was off to an impressive start with a reported collection of an estimated $2.20 million, as stated on BoxofficeIndia.com.
The film reportedly now has the third highest Bollywood opening at the Chinese box office, with films like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ in the lead.However, this Salman flick managed to achieve the feat despite opening across far fewer screens.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is a 2015 action-drama directed by Kabir Khan and it also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kareena Kapoor and Harshaali Malhotra in leading roles. In the film, Salman plays the role of Pawan, who decides to reunite a mute girl named Munni (Harshaali) with her family in Pakistan.
