Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Angrezi Medium’ eyeing to repeat the success of ‘Hindi Medium’ at the box office

Irrfan Khan is all set to grace the silver screen with yet another promising performance in ‘Angrezi Medium’. Fans of the actor have been eager to see him perform and this Homi Adajania directorial is set repeat the success of its predecessor – ‘Hindi Medium’. According to the latest report on Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Hindi Medium’ was not too big and reached 54 lakh people footfalls and also registered an okay response on satellite.
‘Hindi Medium’ was much popular in Delhi NCR circuit and rakes in around Rs 17.50 crore nett in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and Faridabad belt. This includes 28% of all India collection from 90 odd cinemas, the rest of the film’s collection 72% came from around 700 theatres. The report stated that since ‘Angrezi Medium’ is based in Rajasthan and London, it would be difficult for it earn big in NCR because the area affects the collection unless the film is star driven.
The positive point for ‘Angrezi Medium’ is the inclusion of Kareena Kapoor to the cast, but the film’s success will depend on its collections post Monday.
