'Judwaa 2' box-office collection week 1: Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu starrer mints Rs 95.25 crore

The much-awaited sequel of Salman Khan's 90s blockbuster hit, 'Judwaa 2' is creating waves at the box office. The film that features Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles, enjoyed a good first week at the theatres.

According to a recent report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film is just inches away from entering the 100-crore club with an estimated collection of Rs 95.25 crore nett at the domestic box office.Add on the international figures and we have another successful flick for the year.
The film had a very good start with an estimated collection of about Rs 16 crore on the day one and continued its impressive run all through the extended holiday weekend. 'Judwaa 2' has chances to emerge as the biggest Bollywood hit of 2017.

David Dhawan described the film as a reboot of 'Judwaa'. Before the release of the film, he said, "I was not writing a new script. There are some 8-10 scenes from Judwaa that I loved and that made me make this film."
The film also reprises to popular tracks - 'Tan tana tan' and 'Oonchi hai building' - and is expected to earn much more with each passing day.
