'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' box-office collection Day 8: Kangana Ranaut starrer earns Rs 2.75 crore on its second Friday

'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', starring and co-directed by Kangana Ranaut is still holding strong at the box office. The film that also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Danny Denzongpa in other important roles entered its second week at the box office and did so on a good collection of Rs 2.75 crore.

According to a report on boxofficeindia.com, the film's second Friday collections have taken the overall collection to an impressive Rs 59.60 crore in its second week.After crossing the 50-crore mark in under a week of its release, trade experts are keeping their eyes locked on the box office to see if the film has what it takes to cross the 100-crore mark.

'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is a biographical account of how Rani Laxmibai waged a war against the East India Company. It chronicles her journey from the place where she grew up, Bithoor to becoming the Rani of Jhansi, and eventually turning into the warrior Queen.

Apart from winning applause from fans and critis, the cast and crew of 'Manikarnika' were felicitated by the President Ram Nath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The film released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
