The film is slated to release on October 10, and it’s generating significant positive buzz. In the last 24 hours, the film saw a 102% jump in its Day 1 advance booking. On Monday morning, the total ticket sales stood at Rs 3.36 crore, but by Tuesday morning, collections surged to Rs 6.81 crore—a jump of Rs 3.44 crore. Additionally, through block bookings, the film has added another Rs 5.8 crore to its total. As of now,
Vettaiyan's Day 1 advance booking collection stands at Rs 12.51 crore. However, with less than 48 hours left until its release, it is unlikely to surpass
Jailer's Day 1 collection of Rs 48.5 crore.
Vettaiyan will be clashing with
Alia Bhatt and
Vedang Raina's Jigra and
Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video from 11th October. For it to mint huge sums of money, it will be important to do well in North India as well, but in Hindi it has just sold 49 tickets.
