'Secret Superstar' box-office collection Day 12: Zaira Wasim starrer rakes in almost Rs 52 crore

Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim’s 'Secret Superstar' opened to a Rs 4.80 crore on October 19. Soon, with the spread of some spectacular word-of-mouth promotion, the Advait Chandan film became, what can be called, a sleeper hit and collected more than Rs 30 crore in its opening weekend itself.As per reports on Boxofficeindia.com, 'Secret Superstar' collected Rs 1.25 crore on its second Monday and has so far grossed a little under Rs 51.96 crore.The film that tells a story of a 15-year-old girl who dares to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, hit the high notes with the audience.Written and directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, 'Secret Superstar' also features Meher Vij and Raj Arjun in lead roles.Celebrities also showered praises on the film.
