It's been a week since the heartfelt story of 15-year-old Insia touched critics and fans alike. 'Secret Superstar' that stars
Zaira Wasim and
Aamir Khan in an extended cameo is a story of a child who aspires to be a singer. She seeks a pompous music director named Shakti Kumar (Aamir Khan) to achieve her dream.

The film that released on Thursday, earned Rs 4.75 crore on day one followed by Rs 9 crore on day two, Rs 8.50 crore on day three and four, Rs 3 crore on day five and Rs 2.75 crore on day six.
Talking about the response the film is receiving, Amir Khan said, "I'm absolutely thrilled with the love and affection our film Secret Superstar is getting from all over the world."

The total budget also included marketing and promotional expenses.
Aamir noted, "I'm so proud of Advait. In his first film itself he has firmly established himself as a first rate storyteller who successfully knows how to enter the hearts of his audience."
