JOHANNESBURG: True to its motto of taking Indian cinema to theinternational audience, the IFFA Awards on Friday showcased four films, withAmitabh Bachchan starrer havingits world premiere and Sunil Shetty''s, Feroz Khan''s and Mani Shankar''smuch-awaited giving theirfirst global promos.
The cast and crew of Honey Irani''s, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in anew-look sporting silver mane and white beard, was given a red-carpet welcome atMonte Casino, the venue of IIFA Awards tomorrow.
Fans cheered andinternational media clicked away as the stars went in for the premiere-Cannesstyle-in the auditorium of the Monte-Casino complex. The film also stars AnilKapoor and PreityZinta.
, which will seecricketer Ajay Jadeja''s foray into the film world, is also the first venture ofactor Sunil Shetty as a producer.
The film, which Shetty describedas a ''romantic thriller'', also features former Miss India Celiena Jaitley andSunny Deol.
