Agastya Nanda’s ‘Ikkis’ postponed, set to clash with Junaid Khan’s ‘Ek Din’ in November: Report

Sriram Raghavan, renowned as one of the top filmmakers in the industry, has fans eagerly waiting for his next project, ‘Ikkis’. The film will introduce Agastya Nanda in his first big-screen role, following his debut in the 2023 Netflix original, ‘The Archies’. Although ‘Ikkis’ was originally planned for an October release, it has now been delayed.

New release date for ‘Ikkis’
According to Bollywood Hungama, ‘Ikkis’ will now release on November 7 2025. The decision was taken by producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films who felt that the first week of November and post-Diwali time will be ideal for their movie. With two major films scheduled for a release on October 2, 2025 - ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ and ‘Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1,’ November 7 is a better date in that regard.


Star-studded cast of ‘Ikkis’
‘Ikkis’ also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. The movie is set during the 1971 war and tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Agastya plays the role of the war hero.

Even with the new release date, ‘Ikkis’ won’t have an exclusive opening. It will compete with ‘Ek Din’, which also stars Junaid Khan. ‘Ek Din’ features Sai Pallavi and has been filmed during the scenic Snow Festival in Sapporo, Japan. The movie is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan’s production company, Aamir Khan Productions.
