As per a report by Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar’s team has refused to accept these reports as true and shared that they are nothing but rumors. As senior members of the actor’s team shared that these talks on the internet are fake.
What was the buzz?
For the unversed, for a couple of days now, there has been a buzz on the internet which suggested that Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati are joining hands for a grand period thriller movie, which was said to be directed by Chandoo Mondeti, who helmed films including ‘Thandel’, ‘Premam’, ‘Karthikeya’ and more. Additionally, it was also said that the film will be backed by Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions. However, now it seems that these were just some hearsay.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ release
Currently, Akshay Kumar’s latest release, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ directed by Priyadarshan, is having a good run at the box office. Reuniting the duo, the film, as per trade analyst Sacnilk, in six days has collected over Rs 6.15 crore with 11,584 shows. This brings the total India net collections to Rs 78.90 crore. This makes the worldwide gross collection Rs 127.37 crore.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in the comedy courtroom drama, ‘Jolly LLB 3’. Up next, he will be seen in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, which is set to release on June 26, 2026. He has also joined Rohit Shetty’s comedy universe with Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Golmaal 5’.
