Allu Arjun and Jr NTR in the race for 'The Immortal Ashwatthama', Ranveer Singh out! - Exclusive

In January this year, ETimes was the FIRST and EXCLUSIVE to report that Vicky Kaushal is out of Aditya Dhar's dream project, 'The Immortal Ashwatthama', after Jio Studios stepped into the project and gave it a new life. The film was on the verge of getting shelved as producer Ronni Screwvala had backed out after weighing it monetarily, but then Jio Studios decided to back this big-budget film.
However, Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar were not on the same page over Vicky's inclusion. While Aditya wanted Vicky, Jio Studios wasn't confident about having him on board. Anyway, yesterday, reports circulated that Ranveer Singh has been roped in as the lead. But now, a recent development- coming FIRST and EXCLUSIVE to you again on ETimes- is that Ranveer is out of contention for this film.
Now, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR are the two names on the table for the film. If all goes well, either of the two will get in.
Buzz was, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was going to be the leading lady for this one. However, there has been no official announcement on that yet.
