It can now be told. While certain sections of the media have been having a field day speculating why Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul's wedding is happening at Suniel Shetty's Khandala wala ghar, let us tell you the andar ki baat.
The inside story is that KL Rahul is besotted by Suniel's Khandala home, which is nothing short of a mansion. And, he has often told this to Suniel and Athiya both.
On the other hand, Athiya somehow didn't want too much shor-sharaba during her saat-pheras and other traditional ceremonies.
Suniel felt that this was a chance to make both of them happy. Anyway, Suniel has always been there for his children Ahaan and Athiya's happiness, and now for KL Rahul's too. When he told them why not marry in his Khandala home, the couple's joy knew no bounds. They didn't break into a dance but their hearts thumped with happiness.
ETimes also has it that the guests who will grace the Khandala celebrations are going to be put up in Radisson Hotel. Rooms have been booked and a scrumptious menu awaits those who've been invited for the private-n-intimate event.
A month or two later, Athiya and KL Rahul will host a big reception in Mumbai where a big attendance from the Bollywood, cricket and industrialist fraternity is expected. "That will be a night to remember and we are looking forward to it," says a source close to the Shetty family.
KL (as he is fondly called) is expected to return to the Indian cricket team and start playing, very soon after his marriage.
