In fact, while the casting was in process, the makers were looking for someone who shares a close bond with Anil because they wanted that rapport to translate on the screen.While several names were suggested, after a round of discussions with Anil, the makers decided to approach Satish, who heard the script and immediately decided to be a part of the film. It is said that the two seniors actors had a blast while shooting and reminisced about their friendship and past films. The two have worked together in a number of films such as ‘Mr India’, ‘Aawargi’, ‘Jamaai Raja’ and ‘Deewana Mastana’. ‘Fanney Khan’, which releases in August, also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta in important roles.
