For a man his age, his dedication to work long hours is an inspiration of sorts to co-stars. Anil Kapoor’s 20-hour non-stop shoot for a gangster film of his in which he plays a cop modelled on a real-life character. Our source says that in the last week of July, Anil reported for shooting at 8 am and went on to shoot almost non-stop till 4 am the next day. What is more Anil wasn’t shooting in an air-conditioned studio.
Instead, he was sweating it out on the streets of Mumbai, exposed to heat and dust for that entire duration.
The scenes had some really tough hand-to-hand fights between Anil, the cop, and
John Abraham the gangster. One of the younger actors said, “Anil is 50-plus but as far as stamina and fitness go, he can beat any of us hollow.” Anil has changed his look for the film and is now the fittest he’s been.
