Anubhav Sinha's next to be shot in Lucknow and Banaras

Anubhav Sinha of 'Ra. One' and 'Gulaab Gang' fame will be shooting his next film, , in Lucknow and Banaras early next year.
The filmmaker, who also belongs to Banaras informs us, “I'll begin shooting in Banaras in January 2016 till March, and will be shooting for a few days in Lucknow too in between. I'll be visiting the cities in August or September for the location hunt.My film is a hardcore commercial and requires to be shot in crowded places, so the location choice has to be made very carefully ."

Ask him why Banaras and Sinha lists various reasons. “Because the story is set in Banaras. Also it's been my dream to shoot there and showcase the character of Banaras, its people, culture, milieu, food and most of all, its music. Hunkaar will have a lot of Banarasi music in it. I want the youth of today to listen to the thumris, dadaras and chaitis that have come out of Banaras," says the director adding, “Also, a lot of my friends have shot there, including Aanand L Rai and Neeraj Ghaywan, and I still haven't, so that's why too."
The film will have Riteish Deshmukh and Abhay Deol playing lead roles, while the female lead is yet to be decided. “People have mostly seen Riteish doing comedy , but in this film, he will be seen as a very intense man, which he is in real life. As for Abhay , his character will be very shocking. People would have never seen him in this avatar before.Jab Abhay ne yeh part suna, he was very excited and immediately said yes to the film because it's so not like him at all," says Sinha.
Anubhav is planning to set up office in Banaras when he visits in August. “I will probably have a permanent place of work in Banaras as ultimately ,I want to produce Bhojpuri film. And who knows, maybe I'll do it after I finish Hunkaar," says he.
