In a unique but socially relevant activity, actor Anupam Kher and the team of his upcoming film Shiv Shastri Balboa, including Nargis Fakhri took to clean Versova beach in Mumbai. On his way to the beach, Kher opted to travel in an auto to beat the traffic and reach in time. Joining Kher and Nargis were students, villagers and some fenugreek farmers.
Kher was joined by Tarun Rathi at Versova beach for the cleaning mission. Also present at the beach were social activist Swarnima Rathi, director Ajayan Venugopalan, along with Nargis Fakhri and Asha Varieth of the Shiv Shastri Balboa team.
The rickshaw driver who ferried Kher to the beach was gifted two tickets to the Shiv Shastri Balboa premiere for helping out in the cause. Kher was also able inspect a local well dug by an activist and farmer which in turn has helped local fenugreek farmers with their produce.
Shiv Shastri Balboa releases today and it features an quirky story of an Indian man who partakes in a journey across the US mainland, inspired by his idol, Rocky Balboa.
