Anupam Kher shares his resume on LinkedIn; labels himself as a ‘struggling actor’

Renowned actor Anupam Kher, who has starred in over 500 films, recently sparked discussion by sharing his resume on LinkedIn. Well-known for his iconic roles in films like ‘Saaransh’ and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, Anupam Kher surprised his fans with this delightful gesture. In addition to showcasing his remarkable acting abilities, his LinkedIn CV gave readers an insight into his outlook on life and the challenges he has overcome.


Anupam Kher took to his Instagram and shared a picture of his updated resume. Along with the post, he wrote, "After every five years I update my resume! Luckily, in my profession, there is no age limit. Hope you like my biodata!!! Jai Ho! #Resume #Optimism (sic)." According to his LinkedIn bio, Kher is an "Actor, Teacher, Author, and Motivational Speaker."


Although humorous, Anupam Kher's article also emphasizes the difficulties he experienced in the fiercely competitive and constantly changing film industry. In the introduction, the actor wrote, "If life is a movie, I've been blessed with a blockbuster. From a small-town boy in Shimla to walking the red carpet at global film festivals, I've journeyed through over 500 films, countless roles, and a lifetime of learning. My career is a testimony to resilience, passion, and the unshakable belief that failure is an event, never a person."


Anupam Kher, who is one of the finest actors in Bollywood, has acted in iconic films like Saaransh (1984), Lamhe (1991), Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995), and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). He has even won two National Film Awards. The Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan in 2016 and the Padma Shri in 2004 for his services to Indian cinema and the arts.


Anupam Kher has also worked in international films like Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Ang Lee's Golden Lion-winning Lust, Caution (2007), and David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook (2013).
