A magnificent 20-feet-long Veena sand art installation was created as a symbol of devotion, music, and respect. The sculpture beautifully captures the grace and enduring legacy of Asha Ji, reflecting her timeless charm, artistic brilliance, and the deep emotional connection her voice forged with generations of music lovers. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle, saying that the film industry has lost a legendary voice.
In a condolence message, he said that Asha Bhosle had entertained music lovers for several decades with more than 12,000 songs, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy in Indian cinema.
He noted that Asha Bhosle's melodious voice, simple demeanour, and affectionate nature had earned her a permanent place in the hearts of people across generations.

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy said, "Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Asha Bhosle avaru, a towering legend whose voice defined generations of Indian music."
"Her unparalleled contribution to the world of music, marked by timeless melodies and extraordinary versatility, will continue to inspire artists and audiences alike," he added.

Former Chief Minister and BJP Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned Bollywood playback singer Asha Bhosle, calling the news deeply painful.
In a message posted on X, Bommai said that with her melodious voice, Asha Bhosle won the hearts of music lovers for several decades, and the hundreds of immortal songs she rendered will remain etched in memory forever.

Sunday turned out to be a sad day for the Indian music industry as it lost its legendary singer Asha Bhosle.
Bhosle breathed her last at the age of 92. Doctor Prateet Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital confirmed that the veteran singer had been dealing with multiple health issues and died due to organ failure.

In an interview with ANI, Ramesh Sippy called Asha Bhosle's demise a "deeply painful loss". He called the late singer a "wonderful" person who will be remembered by her timeless music.
"The passing away of Asha ji is indeed a painful moment. Asha Ji was absolutely marvellous, both as a singer and as a person. Her passing away is like a century passing away. She's been part of history, will always be part of music history... Whatever she sang will always be remembered and will continue to be remembered through her songs. She was also a wonderful person," said Ramesh Sippy.

Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai on Sunday at the age of 92, marking the end of an era in Indian music. She died at Breach Candy Hospital, where she had been admitted on Saturday evening following extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.
Confirming the cause of death, Dr Pratit Samdani said, "Asha Bhosle breathed her last today in Breach Candy Hospital. She passed away due to multi-organ failure."
Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed the news and shared details of the final rites, saying, "My mother passed away today. People can pay their last respects to her at 11 am tomorrow at Casa Grande, Lower Parel, where she lived. Her last rites will be performed at 4 pm tomorrow at Shivaji Park."
Observing a two-minute silence, people offered prayers for the peace of Asha Bhosle's departed soul at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Holding posters in their hands and offering lamps in the waters of the Ganges, they prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor Shabana Azmi were seen arriving at the late Asha Bhosle’s residence in Lower Parel to pay their last respects, as the industry continues to mourn the loss of the legendary singer.
