Award-winning film out on DVD

In The Name Of God (Ram Ke Naam), the winner of the Filmfare Award for Best Documentary and National Award for Best Investigative Documentary, is now available on DVD.
In The Name Of God, directed by award-winning filmmaker Anand Patwardhan, focuses on the controversial event of the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992, which led to religious riots, which cost thousands their lives.The resulting religious violence immediately spread throughout India and Pakistan, leaving thousands dead, and causing numerous Indian Muslims to flee their homes.
Filmed prior to the mosque’s demolition, the documentary examines the motivations which would lead to the drastic actions of the Hindu militants, as well as the efforts of secular Indians – many of whom are Hindus – to fight the religious intolerance and hatred that has seized India – all in the name of God.
