After unwinding at a spa-resort in Austria,
Karan Johar, along with filmmaker friend
Zoya Akhtar, touched down in the Queen's City earlier this week to ring in his birthday. The Student of the Year director who turned 44 today was joined by close pals,
Shah Rukh and
Gauri, who had landed in London on Saturday. Besides the Khans, KJo's mother,
Hiroo Johar, and friends, Shweta Bachchan Nanda,
Manmohan Shetty's producer-daughter, Aarti, and Kaajal Anand also timed their vacations to coincide with his special day.
"London is one of Karan's favourite cities," informs a guest, adding that the birthday boy booked a London hotspot for an all-night party, held last night.

Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos were also at the bash. "The Morocco schedule ended on Sunday after which they left for London. Katrina will spend time with her family as well," reveals the source. The duo will return to Mumbai separately, with Ranbir flying back with director friend Ayan Mukerji and Katrina travelling solo.
Saif Ali Khan and
Kareena Kapoor who have been holidaying in London for the last week, were also at KJo's do, as was Sidharth Malhotra minus girlfriend
Alia Bhatt who was on the guest list too but couldn't attend as she has kicked off her next, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.
