Bejoy Nambiar to remake Mani Ratnam's Tamil hit

Director Bejoy Nambiar, who is currently basking in the success of 'Wazir', has decided to remake Mani Ratnam's 1988 Tamil hit 'Agni Nachathira'.
Bejoy is currently in the process of rewriting the Tamil hit, following which, he will decide the cast, according to a report in Indian Express. 'One of the scripts I am working on is a contemporary reboot of that film ('Agni Nachathiram'),' Bejoy told PTI.When asked whether big stars could be a part of this film, Bejoy said, 'We will announce all that in some time.'

'Agni Nachathira' is the story of two brothers and the transformation of their relationship. The 1988 film had Prabhu and Karthik in main roles. Before donning the director's hat, Bejoy had worked as an assistant to Mani Ratnam in his Tamil films.
