I''ve spent some of the best years of my life in the City of Joy – Kolkata. I was a medical student, studying dentistry in a very small college in Behrampur. I discontinued my course mainly because the condition of the college was not encouraging at all and my dad got a new posting in Kolkata. Once I went to that city, I decided to change the course of my life. I was studying commerce at St. Xavier''s college, when one day at a party, actress-director Aparna Sen spotted me. I was featured in her Bengali magazine, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Sananda</span>, and that''s where the journey began. I was in the public eye; thereafter I started a few modelling assignments. Marc Robinson was the first to establish me as a ramp model. One thing led to the other; I grabbed more work, more assignments and more money. At the age of 18, I moved out of home and rented an apartment with my friend. I was taken by surprise when one day my friend sent my pictures for the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Femina </span>Miss India pageant. The rest is all history!"<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">All roads from the beauty pageant lead to Bollywood...</span><br /><br />"I was still in the daze of winning the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Femina</span> Miss India crown when I signed my first film. It all happened so fast that the feeling didn''t even sink in. I headed for Ms.Universe, where I didn''t win the crown but I was runner-up. I came back and signed ''Khel'' and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Janasheen</span>. And since then...Bollywood beckoned."<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Psst...psst...We were hearing about amazing on-screen and off-screen chemistry between Ajay Jadeja and Celina Jaitley...</span><br /><br />"We get along really well and I guess it''s simply the Jaitley connection."<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Guess the lady grabbed all the attention from the three heroes of the film... </span><br /><br />Celina: "I was the only lady in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Khel</span>. In the beginning I was very reserved, but gradually Ajay, Suniel and the director, Munna (Yusuf Khan) made me very comfortable. I take some time to know people and get friendly with them, so I took my time to settle in. And I guess I gave them a tough time, too."<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">In that case, you were the centre of attraction....or probably the point of distraction...</span><br /><br />Celina: "I don''t know about that, but I certainly was the common target for all their pranks. Ajay played immense pranks on me. Of course, I got back at him, too. So once the shot was over, it was just time to think of a way to get back at the pranksters." <br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Suniel Shetty is as famous for his pranks as for his action-sequences... </span><br /><br />Celina: "All I can say is that I''ve been working with a bunch of rogues. Ha, ha! And Suniel has pulled my leg so much that I think I''ve grown few inches taller. They''ve all driven me nuts throughout the shooting of the film. But I must say, they''ve all treated me like a princess." <br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">That means Celina has gone nuts; maybe nuts about our master-blaster...</span><br /><br />Celina: "Well, I am just bowled over. Ha, ha!"<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Heard you are very fond of mussels, now that explains your liking for Suniel and Sunny...</span><br /><br />Celina: "Ha, ha, ha! What do I say? Yes, I love mussels and muscular men, too! Jokes apart, I am very flattered to have worked with some of the most chivalrous men in the industry, Suniel being No.1 amongst them." <br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">And Sunny''s over-powering muscle-power...</span><br /><br />"Yes, his muscles are awe-inspiring, but not intimidating. You know how I would describe Sunny – a gentle giant. It was an absolute privilege working with him." <br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Your launch pad was supposed to be </span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Janasheen</span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold=""> and now it''s </span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Khel</span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">... </span><br /><br />"Yes, FK was a great launch pad for me. But luckily for me, one film is better than the other. I know Feroz Khan is emotional about the fact that, after having groomed me for two years, he won''t be the first to introduce me, but he''s been very supportive throughout. It''s just that <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Janasheen</span> got delayed and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Khel</span> made it before that. I''ve been presented so well and so differently in both the films that I had nothing to lose whichever released first. But I must say, FK is such an amazing man, such people are rare to find in the industry. <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Khel </span>is my debut film, but I''ll always be Feroz Khan''s girl." <br /></div> </div>
