'Chhapaak': Deepika Padukone shares the reason why she chose the film

Deepika Padukone will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s 'Chhapaak' which is based on an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
At an event which was held recently, Deepika revealed the reason why she chose the project. She said that the story of Laxmi deserved to be shared with the world. Moreover, Deepika also felt a connection with the determination and spirit of the character.
Deepika said that she has chosen this film because she found the story interesting.There was a connection between her grit and determination and the human spirit.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Vikrant Massey as Malti’s love interest. The film has been shot in New Delhi and Mumbai. 'Chhapaak' is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
