Chitrangda Singh has spoken about mobbing incidents at public events which several actors had faced recently . Singh said the issue is very serious and should not be taken lightly. Reacting to recent videos of Nidhhi Agerwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu getting mobbed, she said such situations can quickly go out of control. She shared her honest fear after watching those clips.In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said, “Some of these events can really get out of hand because you have to be able to control the crowd. I was looking at those visuals with Nidhhi, and it was scary to see that.”

She also questioned how safety is handled. “It’s probably the duty of the agencies that are managing them to make sure they are safe. But that was scary. I don’t know how can they put them in that space. How could they let them go, how could this happen to them?"

Chitrangada reveals her own experience of being mobbed

Chitrangda also spoke about her own past experiences with aggressive crowds. She remembered attending Dahi Handi events where things became unsafe very quickly.She said, “Even on these Dahi Handi events, I remember 2-3 times it happened, they started banging our car and it just gets out of hand because they have this proximity to an actor and suddenly they have access. I was very scared." She explained that once people feel close to actors, they sometimes forget limits. That sudden access can turn dangerous.

John Abraham got hurt protecting her

Chitrangda shared a shocking story from a college promotion in Delhi for the film 'I, Me Aur Main'. She said the crowd became uncontrollable very fast.She recalled, “John Abraham and I went and promoted this film we did a long time back. We went to a Delhi college, and we had to go up on stage and then leave.”Chitrangda added, “The crowd started to build up and suddenly I see everybody’s trying to whisk off John and he kind of looked back at me to take me along.” John tried to protect her and guide her to the car. She said, “As soon as we sat in the car, John took off his shirt and his whole back was full of scratch marks."The actress made it clear that mobbing affects everyone, not just women. She said she was safe because the college had many women students. She said, “I was just shocked to see that because he was trying to protect me, so he was behind me and then his whole back got scratched. So it just happens to everyone I suppose, it’s not just women."On the work front Chitrangda was last seen in 'Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders'. She will be seen opposite Salman Khan in 'Battle of Galwan' which is scheduled for a release on April 17, 2026.
