'Ramayana' producer Namit Malhotra and actor-producer Yash have officially kicked off global promotions for their film at CinemaCon 2026. In a major step in positioning the mythological spectacle on the world stage, the duo kicked off film promotions with sit-down interviews on Day 1 of the event.Photos that have turned up online show Yash, who is set to play the villain, Ravana, dressed in a blue shirt and black pants while rocking his thick beard. Yash shares tidbits on ‘Toxic’Alongside 'Ramayana', a social media post states that Yash has also teased details about his highly anticipated film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups'. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster drama was scheduled to clash with Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. However, due to ongoing global conflict, the makers decided to postpone the film's release.
Ranbir Kapoor's 'Astraverse' updateWhile details about their chat currently remain under wraps, the duo also reportedly gave an update on the 'Astraverse'. The cinematic universe started by director Ayan Mukerji, with the film 'Brahmastra' starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
While Part 1 was a hit, the production of 'Brahmastra: Part Two' was delayed. 'Ramayana' made a prominent debut at the Las Vegas convention, with striking posters of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana unveiled alongside major Hollywood titles such as 'The Odyssey', 'Dune: Part Three', and 'Avengers: Doomsday'. As per reports, the showcase is a strategic move to present the Indian film as a global tentpole project. Besides the interviews, the team will also be hosting private previews and engaging with international distributors and exhibitors.
