Spats between members of the Babbar family have often taken place publicly, but it seems that Raj Babbar’s elder son Aarya is ensuring that that’s no longer the case. Aarya, who’s next “Azaan” clashes with brother Prateik’s “My Friend Pinto” on October 14, brushes aside suggestions of a conflict between the two brothers courtesy their movies’ release at the same time.
He told DT, “I hope his movie does really well. He’s my brother. Of course, I want my film also to do well, but not at the cost of his film. Yes, in the past I’ve reacted very aggressively towards him, but that’s in past and I don’t think I harbour any such feelings towards him. We are family, dude!”
Aarya, who was in Delhi last week, is busy promoting his movies “Azaan” and a Punjabi film titled “Yaar Anmulle”. After he’s done with promotions, says the actor, he takes on the other half a dozen projects that he has signed up for. He says, “I have “Afra Tafri”, “Maximum” with Sonu Sood and Neha Dhupia, “Choron Ki Baaraat” with Om Puri and Sayali Bhagat, “Dangerous Ishq” with Karisma Kapur, and another Punjabi film.” But in the midst of so many movies, it’s theatre that he yearns to go back to, says Aarya, adding, “Theatre is my first love and I have done that for years. I am also writing something and I hope soon I’ll find the time to convert it for stage.”
