'Dabangg' screenwriter and lyricist Jalees Sherwani passes away

Indian screenwriter and lyricist Jalees Sherwani, who has written lyrics for films like 'Dabangg', 'Chashme Badoor', 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and 'Wanted', was reportedly suffering from a few health complications for the past two weeks and passed away today earlier in the day.
Sherwani, who has written lyrics and dialogues for most of Salman Khan's films passed away today due to a heart attack as reported.Not only was he a known writer but also wrote many songs for films such as 'Rehit', 'Kanwarlal', 'Sangram', 'Ek Tha Raja', 'Mafia' and many more.
Jalees Sherwani started his career back in 1987 with N. Chandra's 'Pratighat' and also gave us hits like 'Baaghi', 'Loafer', 'Sangram' and several others.
He was also the president of the Film Writers' Association for quite a while and had even written the title track for 'Dabanng'.
