David Dhawan hospitalised

Director David Dhawan suddenly fainted while chatting with his actor friends Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan.
The trio were at a party hosted at a Bandra restobar by common friend, producer Bunty Walia to celebrate his recent wedding to Vanessa Parmar. It is learnt that Sanjay and Abhishek tried to revive him, but he wouldn’t move. The two actors are said to have called for an ambulance and had David rushed to the nearby Lilavati Hospital.
Sources say that tests revealed that the director’s blood sugar had dipped below the normal level and he went into what is called a ‘diabetic coma’. Doctors attending to him have declared him to be out of danger and his health and diet are being closely monitored.
David’s elder son Rohit, is staying by his father’s side. His younger son Varun, who’s shooting in Bangkok, is expected to return soon.
