'Deepika Padukone is the most cooperative,' says director Imtiaz Ali

Imtiaz Ali and Deepika Padukone have worked together on several critically praised films, including Tamasha and Love Aaj Kal. The actress was recently thanked by the director. She arrived on set far earlier than any of her co-stars, and he called her "the easiest to work with."

In a recent interview at the IFFSA Toronto 2024, Imtiaz Ali stated that he has had the opportunity to work with several "wonderful" artists, including Deepika Padukone.

He claimed that he was "comfortable" working with her on the set. She is the simplest to work with and gets ready far faster than any of her co-stars, Imtiaz added. She was ready in no time during default shots, which he found fantastic.

In the same interview, Imtiaz added that no one in the nation put forth as much effort as the Indian film industry's women. The glamour girls of the Hindi cinema business, the so-called 'heroines,' are what he was referring to.

The actresses had to arrive at the site before everybody else in order to get their costumes and looks ready, the director revealed.




He went on to say that they slept very little, wore terrible shoes, and dressed in very little when filming in bitterly cold conditions. They therefore thought they were the ones who put in the "hardest" effort on the field, according to Imtiaz.

Earlier this year, Imtiaz Ali's film Amar Singh Chamkila was released. Based on the lives of musician Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife, Amarjot Kaur, the drama is set. Netflix has the movie, which stars Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh. Viewers gave the movie great reviews.



In addition, Imtiaz re-released his 2011 film Rockstar, in which Ranbir Kapoor appeared. Fans came to the theatres in droves to demonstrate their affection for the movie once more.
