According to the Mid-Day report, Deepika Padukone returned to the 'King' set on April 21, kicking off a two-day shoot of an action sequence with Shah Rukh Khan at Golden Tobacco Studio in Vile Parle. The report stated, "Shah Rukh and Deepika filmed the scene on April 21 and 22, with the latter dressed in an all-white outfit. A special set was constructed at Golden Tobacco Studio in Vile Parle. The combat choreography is in line with the film's larger-than-life treatment."

Director Siddharth Anand, known for his visually grand filmmaking style, has designed a hyper-stylized fight sequence where the two superstars battle eight fighters together. More action-heavy shoot days are reportedly on the way. The report added, "Siddharth has planned another elaborate set-piece against a sandy backdrop. It will be shot in a Mira Road studio."
