Citing examples, she further revealed several sexist things about the industry like how a makeup artist could only be a man or a hairdresser had to be a woman.
She also added that during her initial days in the industry, there used to be a significantly lower representation of women in a film unit and called out unconscious gender biasness among male writers, directors and actors that many aren’t aware of.
Dia Mirza kickstarted her career in the entertainment industry after bagging the title of Miss Asia Pacific in 2000 and later made her acting debut in Bollywood with ‘Rehnaa Hai Teree Dil Mein’ co-starring R.Madhavan.
On the work front, Dia was last seen in Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Thappad’.
