<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">chandigarh: the first day first show audience of the much publicised <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">koi mere dil se pooche</span> (at batra cinema) was divided in its opinion about the film. while some liked the "unusual kind of a love triangle," there were others who found the film "very heavy and serious." however, the unanimous verdict about debutante esha deol was quite favourable with almost everyone agreeing that "she''s got what it takes to make it".
aftab shivdasani was also appreciated for his lover boy act but it is the actor reborn sanjay kapoor who walked away with the maximum accolades. "i never knew sanjay kapoor could act so well. he''s very good as a villain. he''s the surprise packet of the film," said rajinder singh, rajeev felt "the movie could have been better, but jaya bachchan makes up for any loose threads in the movie." as for esha, "she''s very beautiful and does look like her mother and is a mature performer. this, however, was not the right launch for her because it''s too serious a role" he adds. his friend sanjay disagrees. "esha is the best thing in the movie and people will watch the film only for her." moon, a college student, found esha deol "quite innocent and beautiful as well as talented, especially in the dramatic scenes." aftab, as esha''s leading man, also found many takers mostly for his boyish looks, "he''s really looking good and has lost weight after love ke liye kuch bhi karega and has given a good performance," gushed jaya and bhanu. aarti liked sanjay''s terror act the most and said, "he really scared me with his chilling performance and his akshaye khanna styled hair." anuradha liked the take off on mohabattein – specifically jaspal bhatti''s performance as naraz shankar (a dig at amitabh bachchan''s narayan shankar), "this is the best scene in the movie and jaspal bhatti is really good as is the other guy who has done a spoof on shah rukh''s raj aryan act as raj iron." film enthusiasts have found koi mere dil se pooche good in bits and pieces, especially with regards the performances but on the whole the verdict of the film in its entirety is that it''s an average film. harneet_singh@indiatimes.com </div> </div>
