MUMBAI: Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi on Saturday appealed to the BJP-led Gujarat government not to link politics with the release of Amir Khan's film Fanaa.
"It would be injustice to art and (we should) let people decide," Dasmunshi told reporters here.
Nothing has been said by Aamir against the people of Gujarat or the project, he said.

Dasmunshi said the Union government and all political parties were committed to increasing the height of the Sardar Sarovar dam in phases, keeping in mind the rehabilitation of people affected by the project.
"I hope good sense will prevail over the government of Gujarat," he added. Distributors in Gujarat have decided against screening "Fanaa", which was released on Friday, following protests by Youth BJP activists who were irked by Aamir's stand on the Narmada dam.
