Ekta's jumping with anger
Actor Jeetendra’s family has allegedly been under attack twice in the previous week, and the actor recently hollered at cops for not taking enough action.
The first incident happened last week when his daughter Ekta Kapoor was involved in a roadside altercation in Mumbai. Sources say that Ekta – a fitness freak – was jogging on the road along Juhu beach, accompanied by four bodyguards when a man, driving his car at breakneck speed, drove past her, almost knocking her over.

Unapologetic, the man allegedly got off the car and screamed at Ekta, “Aapko footpath pe chalna nahin aata kya? (Don’t you know how to walk on the footpath?)” Unaccustomed to being shouted at, the Kapoor girl flew into a rage. Her bodyguards stepped in and tried telling him that it was his fault.
However, the man – who still hasn’t been identified, by the way – was rather abrasive. An altercation ensued. Both parties left the spot after nearly 20 minutes.
Refusing to take such an incident lying down, Ekta took the matter to the cops. “I noted the number of his car and on reaching home, sent someone from my staff to lodge a police complaint,” she said.
But daddy dear is unhappy that the cops haven’t taken action in the case. He also stormed into the Juhu Police Station in Mumbai, demanding an explanation for why the cops hadn’t handled a mob that stood outside their bungalow, showering abuses outside his house.

It seems he wanted to know how there could have been two attacks on his family in such a short span of time, and what progress had been made with respect to Ekta’s complaint. He had a word with the police again, but seemed dissatisfied. “I guess they haven’t finished their investigations yet,” he added.
Senior inspector of Juhu police station, Deepak Kathkade said, “Ekta’s bodyguard had come to register a complaint against an unknown person who allegedly tried to run them down and later misbehaved with them on Juhu beach. We have registered a non-cognisable complaint.” When asked why there had been no progress in the case, all he said was, “We are investigating the matter. ”
