Emraan Hashmi, who is currently enjoying the appreciation for his recently released film ‘Chehre’ with Amitabh Bachchan, has already shot for his next. He will be soon seen in the Malayalam remake of the super hit film ‘Ezra’.
The source close to the development revealed that Emraan’s film that has been titled ‘Dybbuk’ will directly opt for an OTT release. Reportedly, it has been sold to an OTT platform for Rs.

36 crore. It is being said that the makers were originally eyeing a theatrical release but have gone ahead to maximize their returns in the current pandemic scenario. They are planning to release the film this year.
The film is a supernatural horror which is directed by the same South director Jaya Krishnan. The original film `Ezra` starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priya Anand in the lead roles. The film was around an antique box that Priya bought from a dealer. Later, Priya and Ranjan start experiencing paranormal activities.
Emraan kick-started the shoot of the Hindi remake in 2019 in Mauritius.
Meanwhile, Emraan recently spoke about being a part of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger 3’. He told ETimes, “I am not confirming or denying being a part of the film. All I want to speak right now is about ‘Chehre’. Till then enjoy the gym pictures.” Salman and Katrina are currently in Russia as they have started shooting for the international schedule of ‘Tiger 3’.
