Esha Deol opens up about Dharmendra’s creative side

As reported by IANS, speaking at a special event in the city, Esha revealed that Dharmendra possessed a strong passion for design, architecture, and beautiful spaces. She said their conversations often revolved around landscapes and artistic ideas. “Papa and I would spend hours, you know, discussing different landscapes, simple spaces, and he would always say, ‘Lage raho bete, karte raho (keep going, give it your all), and those words I carry even today with me, which guide me. It was his faith in my creativity that gave me the courage to wholeheartedly pursue it today". Esha explained that these words continue to inspire and guide her in both her professional and personal life.

Dharmendra inspired Esha Deol's journey

The actress has recently ventured into designing luxury spaces. She credited her father’s constant encouragement for giving her the confidence to follow her creative instincts. According to Esha, Dharmendra always believed in her abilities.
His support helped her pursue her passion with complete dedication. She said his trust in her creativity gave her the courage to move forward and build a new chapter in her career.

The special meaning behind Esha Deol's brand logo

Esha also shared that her design brand’s logo holds an emotional connection to her father.“The lantern in my logo was actually personally handcrafted by Papa. It was a gift he had given me. Yes, he loved doing all this. So, you know, it’s not just a symbol, it is his light that I carry forward". For Esha, the lantern is far more than a design element. It represents Dharmendra’s blessings, inspiration, and enduring presence in her life.

Dharmendra’s passing left Bollywood in mourning

Dharmendra passed away in November last year at the age of 89. Born in Punjab in 1935, Dharmendra began his acting career in the early 1960s after being discovered through a talent hunt competition.Dharmendra married Hema Malini in 1980 while he was already married to Prakash Kaur. With Prakash Kaur, he had four children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeita Deol, and Vijeta Deol.Dharmendra and Hema Malini later became parents to two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Dharmendra was last seen in 'Ikkis'.
