Evelyn Sharma has completed a decade in Bollywood. The actress, who has been a part of several films over the years, says that it has not been an easy journey. In a recent interview, she admitted that there were several occasions when she felt like giving up, but kept going. She added that the experiences made her a stronger person. Evelyn also revealed that there were times when she found herself replaced in films and wasn’t even given a logical reason for the same.
The actress said that while there were power games in the industry, she managed to stay away from them.
One thing, she added, that bothered her even now, was the fact that many filmmakers still presumed she would struggle to recite dialogues in Hindi. That, she said, was disheartening. However, Evelyn said that she doesn’t let things deter her and that working hard all these years had helped her buy her very own house in Mumbai. The actress also has a marketing company as well as a charity foundation. She admitted that financial freedom was important if one wanted to survive in Bollywood.
Evelyn recently celebrated her birthday in Australia with her fiancée Tushaan Bhindi and revealed that although she hopes to return to India, she is apprehensive about resuming work, given the high number of COVID-19 cases that the country is witnessing.
