Exclusive: Aftab Shivdasani on fatherhood! Says he gives his 100 per cent to his family

Aftab Shivdasani and wife Nin Dusanj became parents to a baby girl, Nevaeh, last year in London. Due to the pandemic, they have made UK their home and are looking at an appropriate time to come back to Mumbai.
As an actor, Aftab shuttles between Mumbai and London for work and is spending time with the family respectively. Talking about the new phase of his life Aftab says, “One thing you get very aware of once you have a family is that you have to manage your time really well.It’s all about balancing things well. So, I give my 100 per cent to my work when I am in Mumbai, but when I in London I give my 100 per cent to my family. I know when I am away they miss me as much as I miss them.”
He further adds, “It is tough to do this back and forth especially in times of COVID. However, when you think, you realise all parents do the same thing for their family and kids. I must say, you don’t get too much time for yourself when you are raising a child.”
Ask him with daughter around, if he and Nin miss spending time with each other and he says, “Nin and I had a fantastic life as we travelled a lot. We have done so much together and then finally decided to have a child. It’s not like we feel that we are losing out on something because we have embraced this new phase. It’s the most beautiful phase of my life. We don’t regret that we don’t have time for ourselves. We manage our time and duties well and enjoy the current phase.”
