After a hit like Pyaar Ka Punchnama where he worked with a newbie like Kartik Aaryan in 2011,
Divyenndu, popularly known as Liquid from the Luv Ranjan directorial, got an opportunity to work with
Rishi Kapoor in his next film, Chashme Baddoor (2013). An official remake of the 1981 film Chashme Buddoor, it also starred Ali Fazal, Siddharth and Taapsee Pannu.
Talking about his experiences working with the senior actor, Divyenndu in an earlier chat said, “With late Rishi Kapoor ji, it was such a nice experience.
We used to have great chats during the shooting of Chashme Buddoor.”
The late actor was fond of Divyenndu as an actor and didn’t shy away from praising him. Divyenndu elaborates, “I remember he used to tell me that he likes me as an actor. He would ask me about my acting method. We would exchange notes about our methods of acting too.”
Interestingly, when Rishi got to know that the young actor is a student of a well-known film school in Pune, he revealed a secret. “When he got to know, he said, ‘yaar mera bohot dil tha waha jaaneka (to study), but mujhe kabhi time nahi mila as I was very young, when I got launched’,” said the Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) actor.
