Gehana dropped from Ms Bikini contest for paid sex tweet

The organizers of Ms Bikini Asia Online 2012 have decided to drop Gehana Vasisth from the prestigious international event to be held in Hong Kong, thanks to her uncontrolled publicity seeking rants on Twitter regarding paid sex, prostitution, etc.
Gehana Vasisth was one of the three Indian girls selected to represent India at the international glamour event to be held in October 2012.On her Twitter handle Gehana Vasisth had recently tweeted that she was "ready and available for paid sex" and even mentioned an email id where prospective clients could email her with their offers.
Public solicitation and prostitution are illegal in India and attract severe penalties under the stringent PITA (Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act). The organizers of Ms Bikini Asia Online refused to comment on the issue, however a source said that a women's organization sent them a legal notice and asserted that they would sue Gehana Vasisth under PITA as such comments on a public forum amounted to solicitation for the purpose of prostitution and could attract the provisions of PITA, their legal notice claimed. Gehana Vasisth who was recently arrested for using the National Flag as a bikini could be in another legal spot, experts claimed.
The Indian franchisee holders of the Ms Bikini Asia Online were under tremendous pressure from the international committee when the Times of India broke the story. The legal notice from the women's organization was the final nail in the coffin for Gehana Vasisth.
It was earlier announced that controversial model and upcoming actress Gehana Vasisth had been selected to represent India at the Ms Bikini Asia Online pageant to be held in Hong Kong in October 2012. Speaking about the selection, celebrity publicist and promoter of Artistes Inc, Flynn Remedios who has been associated with Ms Bikini India since its inception in 2007 had said, “Gehana Vasisth polled the maximum number of votes in an online contest and was selected as the bikini model to represent India.
