'Happy Bhag Jayegi' team aims to spread cheer among film buffs

Several Bollywood films have shown Pakistan in a serious light but the upcoming 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' looks at our neighbouring country through a humorous lens. The run-com, as the makers call it, revolves around a young bride who crosses the border unwittingly, resulting in a series of crazy episodes.
Another highlight of this Diana Penty-Abhay Deol-Ali Fazal-Jimmy Sheirgill-starrer is that the characters squabble in Hindi and Urdu.Producers Krishika Lulla and Aanand L Rai are confident that it will prompt the audience to notice the intricacies of both the languages.
Talking about the film, which also features Momal Sheikh, Kanwaljit Singh and Piyush Mishra in pivotal roles, director Mudassar Aziz says, 'Very few people know that the distance between Amritsar and Lahore is actually 40 minutes by road, yet in our minds and hearts, the line that is drawn is so deeply etched that we feel the two cities are poles apart. Luckily, 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' has got backing from the right kind of people. I'm grateful to Aanand L Rai and Krishika Lulla for supporting my vision.'
