Hera Pheri 3, Krrish 4, Dostana 2: Bollywood sequels stuck in the making!

Bollywood filmmakers never let of an opportunity to spin up a sequel of their blockbusters, some efforts turn out real good, while others fall through. From Akshay Kumar quitting the iconic ‘Hera Pheri 3’ franchise to Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 4’ taking a decade to make… here’s taking a look at much awaited Bollywood sequels which are stuck in the making.

Akshay Kumar has opted out of the ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise as he is not satisfied with the script. And ETimes has exclusively confirmed that the third film in the installment won’t have Akshay’s character. But Kartik Aaryan will be introduced as a new character in ‘Hera Pheri 3’. While the cast is being worked out, ‘Hera Pheri’ third part has been in the making since years.

Hrithik Roshan’s superhero avatar as ‘Krrish’ was received with much enthusiasm. After ‘Krrish 3’ released in November 2013, director Rakesh Roshan had promised a fourth part in the franchise, which is still in the making. The filmmaker had a health scare but is back to working on the film’s script. It has been 9 years and Hrithik Roshan is yet to even start shooting for the same.

Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor hit it off on the sets of ‘Dostana 2’. Pictures from their shoot were shipped by fans and netizens were raving for the film to hit the screens. However, Kartik Aaryan’s exit from the movie has left the fate of ‘Dostana 2’ undecided.

Titled as ‘No Entry Mein Entry’, this film is being helmed by Anees Bazmee. Salman Khan headlined the first part but he may not be there in the sequel. A source had told ETimes, “No Entry is a franchise owned by producer Boney Kapoor. There is no way Salman can do the sequel without Boney’s legal consent. Boney has told his friends he would happily give Salman the right to the sequel. However Salman hasn’t asked. So technically there is no 'No Entry Part 2'.”
