1x1 polls
were you surprised at the success of style?
when i signed the film, i had this feeling that the film will be a great success. and i was right. in some places the film is still running to house full. but performance wise, i had little to do in the film. you were supposed to make your debut with love you hamesha but the film is yet to see the light of the day?
love you hamesha was never my debut film. i just did a special appearance in it. and maybe i have one or two songs with akshaye. akshaye khanna is paired against sonali bendre in the film. and as far as the film being released is concerned, i think the director and the producer will be in a better position to answer it. tell us about your forthcoming films?
i have kalpana lajmi’s kyon. it focuses on teenage crime. my mother will play my reel-life mother in the film. i am excited about it for the simple reason that i will do a film with my mother. after that there’s pritish nandy’s next film, jhankar beats. his daughter is the producer of the film directed by a newcomer, sujoy ghosh. what is jhankar beats all about?
it’s a run-of-the-mill movie with an offbeat touch in it. it has eleven songs. it’s about three generations. the interesting part of the film is that the producer, director and the heroine, are all bengalis. the set resemble a mini bengal (laughs). how come you are not doing n chandra’s next film excuse me, which sounds like a sequel to style.
i don’t think it’s a sequel to style. both the female leads of style are not there. moreover i’m not bound by the contract to do his next film. is john abraham a closed chapter?
more than a close chapter, it’s history now. we got over each other a long time ago. we have drifted apart. each of us is leading our own lives. what went wrong with the relationship?
nothing. we just woke up one fine day and decided to go our own separate ways. i wanted to concentrate on my work and john in his. that was the end of the so called relationship. any new boyfriends?
no boyfriends please. they are just a waste of time and frankly speaking i don’t have time or energy to run after boy -friends.
