Isha Sharvani says one needs to be absolutely sure before tying the knot
Ishahowever, sticks to a diplomatic ‘no comments’ stance on the man inher life and says, I think marriage is a matter of personal choice andtoday’s contemporary urban woman can choose to settle down when the timeis right for her.Isha continues, “There is no right age formarriage. One needs the right man to settle down. A woman has to think if shecan let go of her ambitions and opt for marital bliss and have children. As oursocial values get redefined, the independent woman has a lot of choices —she could also go in for a live-in relationship if she so wishes. Marriage is amammoth step and one needs to be absolutely sure before one makes thatcommitment. Marriage is more of a personal choice, and not so much about areligious ritual. Having said that, at this point in time, I have nothing to sayabout Zaheer. Our talk veers to what she loves doing best —dance. Having perfected the art of Kalaripayattu, Kathak and Chhau dance forms,Isha mixes elements of Kathak, yoga, gymnastics and ballet in her dancewith ease. Also a yoga practitioner, Isha admits that yoga is gettingcommercialized these days, but “awareness is helping people wake up to thebenefits.”
Isha, whose last Bollywood release was “Luck byChance”, confesses that she has no Hindi films in hand and she’s notworried about that either. She shrugs, “I will act when I geta substantial role in a film.” Isha was spotted in the stands cheering forTeam India during the World Cup matches. She even watched the finals in Mumbai. What’s with the new interest in the gentleman’s game?“I’ve always followed cricket. I watched the finals at WankhedeStadium. It was a fantastic experience with the crowd singing “VandeMatram”. I had goosebumps.Tanvi Trivedi
