I think we have many USP in Faltu: Bhagnani

I think we have many USP in Faltu: Bhagnani
Content is king. No doubt. But Aamir Khan has shown us that marketing is what gets audiences in the theatre. Making a good film is as important as making a noise about it. Producer Vashu Bhagnani has always tried to come up with interesting concepts to promote his films.
In the case of F.A.L.T.U that releases today, Vashu ensured that the music and every member of the cast are on top of the mind every single day with innovative marketing tools.

He released the music of the film digitally, the first movie in Bollywood to have taken that route. The website iamfaltu.com loaded with a messenger, voice message facility and radio is also a first. The merchandise of the film — T-shirts in funky cans, mugs, flasks — has been lapped up by the college-going youths — at whom the film is aimed.
The filmmaker says, “Marketing is as important as content. It goes hand-in-hand. How many good films have we seen suffer because of hardly any marketing strategy in place? I have tremendous faith in my film and I have backed it to the hilt like any producer should do.”
He adds, “We have tried to explore many avenues that are interesting and aimed directly at the consumers. We wanted people to relate to our film and cast. Filmmaking is a creative process and today you need to involve audiences with your film in every way possible. They need to know what all you are offering to get them to the theatres.”
While Vashu’s son Jackky Bhagnani, who plays the lead character looks promising, the producer has also given breaks to many newcomers in F.A.L.T.U — Director Remo D’Souza, former Miss India Puja Gupta, music directors Sachin and Jigar. The songs of the film (Chaar Baj Gaye, Bhago Bhago Bhoot Aaya, Altu Jalaltu) have added to the buzz about the film. “When you make a film, you talk about having one USP. I think we have many in F.A.L.T.U. Hope people like the film. That’s what matters after all this hard work,” Vashu concludes.
