'I told Guneet that I don't know if I should play a solo lead'

Sanya Malhotra shares her initial hesitation in taking on a solo lead role in Pagglait. Sanya shares,"The confidence that she has in me as a producer, has given me a sense of confidence in myself as an actress. I was not confident enough about Pagglait, and I remember calling her one day to the office to tell her that maybe I should not do Pagglait at this point in my career. I felt I shouldn’t take on a solo lead. But she said, "I don’t agree with what you're saying. I think you should do it." Both Umesh (Umesh Bisht, director) and Guneet showed so much confidence in me that I thought, Wow! - if the director and producer have no problem with me being the main lead and they are confident that I can shoulder it, then why not?"
