I'm a sportsperson: Vedita Pratap

Vedita Pratap Singh, a model-turned-actor from Lucknow, who’s made her debut in the movie “Bhindi Bazaar”, was in Delhi recently, promoting her film ahead of its release.
She told us that she was fairly familiar with the capital, since she would keep coming to the city to meet her friends when she was still in Lucknow.
Besides acting, Vedita says she also has a keen interest in sports.She says, “It’s great to see sports being promoted in India. I’m a sportsperson and would love to do a strong character role in a sports-based film. I would like to do versatile roles. I know it’s just the beginning for me, but I’m ready to learn and face new challenges.”
Sports, films, all good, but Vedita’s also, apparently (believe it or not), from a royal family! She happily told us this, adding that her family and friends therefore call her ‘Rajkumari Chautti’. Aww – so sweet, princess!
