What rubbish! I have never hidden myrelationship. When I got into a relationship, I spoke about it. When I was outof it, I am not hiding it either. I have always been very confident. Idon’t believe in being seen with him and insist that we are ‘justgood friends’. When I met Bunty, he knew me as an actor and a model. Hewas down and out then. Then, he did “Lamha”. It didn’t do toowell. I have been with him through the lows of life. If I was so calculative, Iwouldn’t have wasted two years with him. I could have easily moved outwithin six months of our relationship. If the idea was to use him to launch mycareer, I would have waited for another year and continued with therelationship, hoping that he will make a film that will have me. But, I neverdid so. I was always open to working with other producers and directors. I did“Rocket Singh: Salesman of The Year” and shot for ads and musicvideos. I am still keen on working with everyone.How ridiculous isthat! Don’t we borrow our friend’s car if we need it? How can suchthings be said about me? When I met Bunty, I was in no mindspace to be in arelationship. I found Bunty to be a very nice human being. We had a 20-year agegap between us. But, that was never an issue for drifting apart. Bunty and I arestill friends. We have partied together even after our split. When news brokeout about our separation, the first person I messaged was Bunty. We stillunderstand and are very supportive of each other.I guess, we were meantto be good friends. I am back to being single now. There is a mutualunderstanding between us. Yes, I am hurt! Every breakup hurts... But it’sa decision I have taken for reasons best known to me. I can’t speak ofthem. Sometimes, it’s important to go beyond the comfort zone.That’sso wrong. I don’t exactly know what happened between him and his women.Some could have spread the news because they wanted publicity. Others could havedone it for different reasons. I don’t think Payal (Rohatgi) dumped Bunty.Amisha Patel’s case was also very different. But, I do know that he had abitter divorce with Suman Ranganathan. We have all been through breakups inlife. I was in school when I went through a breakup. Since Bunty has been in thepublic domain, his relationships and breakups have been written about. Minehaven’t . I don’t think people should talk about him so negatively.When a couple parts ways, it’s important to be dignified. If I expectdignity from my ex, I will also have to learn to respect my ex. I will be veryhappy if Bunty finds someone and settles down.I always had a house of my own in Mumbai. Bunty stays in ajoint family. I would frequently go over to his house and stay over. His parentsliked me a lot. My parents too were very fond of him.Members of both our families are sad. But, my family, willnever force me to take any decision.
