India to present five co-production projects at Cannes' Marche Du Films

As per the I&B Ministry, the National Film Development Corporation of India's (NFDC) Film Bazaar, which is South Asia's largest co-production market, will present five projects looking for funds and co-producers at the Cannes Film Festival's Marche Du Films (Film Market). These projects were selected in the Film Bazaar's 2021 virtual edition.

As per the I&B Ministry, the National Film Development Corporation of India's (NFDC) Film Bazaar, which is South Asia's largest co-production market, will present five projects looking for funds and co-producers at the Cannes Film Festival's Marche Du Films (Film Market). These projects were selected in the Film Bazaar's 2021 virtual edition.
It includes Ashwamedh (India, UK) - co-produced by Ridham Janve, Chevittormma (Australia, India) - co-produced by Stephan Zacharias, and Bena (India) - co-produced by Adinath Kothare.

Two foreign projects, Safa from Bangladesh - co-produced by Makud Hossain, and Ek Mutthi Badal by Nepalese filmmaker Abhimanyu Dixit, will also be presented by NFDC Film Bazaar.
Sources say, "As Film Bazaar is South Asia's largest co-production market, films from neighbouring countries are also submitted to the Bazaar. This year, two such projects are being taken from India to be pitched at Marche Du Films."
Marche Du Film will also feature world premieres of a selection of Indian films, which will be held at the Olympia Cinema. India will be spotlighted in various programmes at the festival, including Goes to Cannes, Cannes XR and Animation Day. India is the official Country of Honour for the Cannes Marché du Film (Film Market), at the Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from May 17 to 25 this year. This is be the first time that the market will have an official Country Of Honour and is expected to continue this tradition during its future editions.
The India Forum will be the first event to open the conference program of the Marché du Film on May 19.
